The It Girl Summer Wishlist
These are the items I am buying for summer...(or praying I can afford)... ya know, same thing.
I have bought quite a few of these already and am planning on splurging on a few more. Look out for the cool “if you know you know brands” and make sure to check them out further. I think this summer is going to be an absolute explosion of color and new designers.
The Wishlist
Gingham Set - THIS I had to splurge on, it was just too good. This will 100% be my fourth of July outfit, I bought both pieces.
Pearlescent Statement earring - How cool are these?
I am absolutely obsessed with them and basically everything Chan Luu makes - such a cool unique IYKYK it girl brand!!
Pucci Wrap Skirt - This is $300… I was shocked. Pucci skirts can go into the thousands and this one has endless potential. This does not only have to be poolside, you can do a white tee and a leather jacket with heels or sandals, a white tank (like this one from cou cou intimates please) with flip flops or sandals for a summer day.. I think I have to splurge on this one sometime this summer.
Baby blue Manolos - I mean hi! These are no brainer. I will hopefully be splurging on these as well.
Statement Shell Necklace - Okay the shell necklaces are taking over the world right now… these are extra special imo and seem to be great quality. Do I think you could find cheaper elsewhere? Yes 100%. They are everywhere right now. Have I personally tried this brand to attest to its quality? No…but I do think I will be buying this in July. Keep that in mind before purchasing, statement jewelry can ALWAYS be found cheaper if you aren’t looking to splurge. If you think this trend will be short lived for you, skip it!
I love it so much…
70’s style sunnies - These are pricey but extremely cool, I have a similar much less expensive pair from Past Midnight that I find myself choosing over designer pair every single time
Woven Leather Tote - I love a woven bag in the summer and this one is so unbelievably chic and well priced! I need her.
Wave Bag - How cool is this?! I love seeing designers doing things that are fun and unconventional. I literally can’t tell the difference between any brands these days, everything looks the same. The luxury looks like Zara and everything in between is just copying the luxury anyway, ergo it all looks like Zara. This bag is fun and cool and different than every basic summer tote (oh, and she’s recycled) woo!
Ancient Greek Red Flip-Flop - Ugh.. I haven’t bought them yet and I’m scared to share them. They are sooooo good, I have to drawn the line on the Row flip-flops but these I can justify. They are still expensive but if people are spending $1,000+ and on FLIP-FLOPS… then these are a steal.
Fish Anklet - What a cutie! I love this little anklet, I have yet to dive into the anklet trend because I am a chronic jewelry lose-r (los-er..? Loser? lol) and I simply can’t be trusted with dainty foot jewelry but if I did I’d go for this one.
Black Pointelle Set - I bought the sweater and a different pair of black slouchy pants (these) because I wouldn’t wear the pointelle pants without that sweater but the set is so so cute. Def worth it for the sweater!
Yellow Linen Pant - A good cozy pant in a super fun summery color, easy.
White Reformation Dress - This is an absolute summer closet staple. You need at least one short white dress and one long white maxi dress for the summer. Sandals, ballet flats, flip-flops, heels, boots - literally anything can go with this dress.
Lace Short - Do not go into this summer without a lace short! They are the only bottoms you need, wear them with a sweater, a tank, a tee, toss on a leather jacket - so so simple. A staple.
Multi-Color Stripe Sweater - Okay this one is bold, but it is so beautifully made and the colors are so vibrant. I just know we are going to see NYC it girls wearing this with classic Levis and a Birkenstock like shoe. I saw variations of this spring/summer uniform in Brooklyn and the girls were oozing cool girl energy.
Shell Earrings - I love anything with a tassel.. and I keep seeing jewelry in the $500+ range with a tassel and I don’t think that needs to the case. Resin and tassel necklaces don’t need to be crazy expensive and these earrings are a tad more reasonable.
Striped Dress - Great summer staple and I love the fabric.
Chloe Woven Keychain - Okay I am NEVER going to buy this. The price is absolutely ridiculous but if you are reading this and you happen to be incredibly rich and spend large amounts of money on keychains and bag charms please buy this and let the girls know how it is! It’s soooo cute. I love Chloe.
P.S. If you see me with a fake version of this I made myself no you didn’t…
Xo,
Bailey
